Valentina Misevska to take on top leadership role at HCCDC
The Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation’s Valentina Misevska will take on the role of acting Chief Executive from 30 September 2019, following the announcement that Michael Cassel has been appointed as CEO of government’s Land and Housing Corporation.
As a Newcastle local, Valentina has been an integral part of the HCCDC team for 11 years, and has held both acting General Manager and acting Chief Executive terms over the last three years. Valentina’s leadership will see HCCDC continue to deliver government projects including the Revitalising Newcastle program, the ongoing transformation of Honeysuckle, and the transformation of Leagues Club Field in Gosford.
Michael’s new role will see him take on government’s land, building and social housing portfolio. The new leadership position will see him work strategically with stakeholders to unlock funding and resource challenges to deliver more homes for families and those who need it most.
Michael leaves a strong legacy for the people of Newcastle, with the significant city-changing delivery of the Revitalising Newcastle program.
He has spent five years as a passionate advocate for the region, and he looks forward to watching HCCDC continue to thrive under Valentina’s leadership.
