Newcastle Mines Grouting Fund

 

HCCDC oversees the administration of the Newcastle Mines Grouting Fund (NMGF) on behalf of the NSW Government.

The NMGF is a pilot program addressing local mine subsidence, designed to promote new investment by giving financial certainty about the cost of mine remediation.

We sponsor a variety of activities and initiatives that contribute to enhancing, celebrating and growing economic capacity in the communities we operate in.

Funds previously administered by HCCDC

HCCDC administered the Newcastle Port Community Contribution (NPCC) fund from 2014-18.

The NPCC fund helps improve infrastructure, amenity and community access to spaces around the port of Newcastle.

HCCDC administered the Hunter Infrastructure and Investment Fund (HIIF) from 2011 until it closed in 2018.

Aimed at supporting economic growth and livability of the Hunter region, the HIIF supported transport, education, water and health infrastructure projects.
