The University of Newcastle has created a new world-class campus – Gosford Central – on the Central Coast. Construction of the $63.8-million project was completed in November 2025, and classes are set to commence in Semester 1, 2026.
In an exciting milestone for the region, Gosford Central is expected to generate new jobs, support emerging local industries and continue the revitalisation of the Gosford CBD. The campus will offer study options tailored to the skill needs of the region, such as education, social science, business, commerce, social work and pathway programs.

The University is targeting a 6-star Green Star rating, the highest achievable level in the standard for healthy, resilient and positive buildings and places.
The 4-floor building features flexible teaching and learning spaces including seminar rooms, collaborative areas, and student experience zones, along with a café, retail space, social student hubs and gathering areas.
We worked with the University and the Greater Cities Commission to help bring the campus to Gosford, where it is located on HCCDC land on Mann Street. The project was formally approved by NSW Government in 2023.
