Hope Estate is transforming the historic Honeysuckle Wharf building into a harbourfront cellar door destination.
HCCDC maintains 3km of seawall infrastructure along Honeysuckle promenade. In 2020 we completed rebuilding the 75 year old seawalls to underpin new public domain.
Waterfront public domain delivered by HCCDC in 2021. Features shaded BBQs and picnic seating, greenspace picnic lawn and a maritime-themed playground.
HCCDC completed major infrastructure upgrades to Mount Penang Parklands in 2023. The $16-million works have enhanced visitor experience and will support future activity in the Parklands.
HCCDC has naturalised Honeysuckle's Cottage Creek waterway, and delivered new public domain and promenade.
HCCDC manages the Mount Penang Parklands – a heritage business park in the Central Coast supporting tourism, recreation, business and education.
DOMA Group's Huntington development opened in late-2022 providing residential apartments and retail spaces that integrate with Honeysuckle's harbourfront promenade.
HCCDC manages the Mount Penang Gardens, a community destination featuring over 8 hectares of landscaped gardens with waterways, walking paths and picnic areas.
One of the two remaining parcels of development land in Honeysuckle to be transformed into Newcastle's new CBD.
HCCDC's award-winning play space was completed in 2021 providing a ‘wild play’ parkland featuring indigenous design.
